5 Vedic Elements -yoga theory

Application of the 5 Vedic Elements to Yoga Practice – Theory At a very basic level, everything in the manifested realm can be simplified at the level of the 5 Elements. In many ways the 5 Elements (or Pancha Maha Bhutas), are the key principles at the base of Ayurvedic and Yogic diagnosis and therapy; so whenever we work with herbs or food, the environment, sound or touch, movement or mental activity with the intention to create balance or homeostasis in someone’s body (physically, energetically, mentally), the simplest and most effective way to work is the breakdown of the elemental imbalance and the consequent adjustment back to equilibrium. This is, put it very simply, the base of any form of therapy. Yoga has a clear therapeutical use and origin. Understanding experientially how to access this simple philosophy and applying these principles to a yoga practice routine and to our lifestyle choices can create an easier path to live a more fulfilling and a happier life, creating potentially the space to enquire into the mysteries of the meaning of life. Fabio will explain the theoretical principles above with an opportunity for questions and answers
