About me: In May 1975, I was invited me to join the world’s most famous rugby team; the Harlequins. I had played international Rugby from the age of 14, Loughborough University and now London. I was Dick Wittington and the streets were paved with gold, or so I thought... I left Yorkshire in 1975 with only an overdraft and a ford Cortina Mark II. I started London life as a school teacher in Fulham, running out at Twickenham most Saturdays and enjoying a lifestyle beyond my wildest dreams. My fitness waned, in 1981 I enrolled at the College of Estate Management and qualify as a Chartered Surveyor in 1985. Not satisfied with being a manager in a large West End practice, I set up Lamberts Chartered Surveyors in December 1987, starting from my attic bedroom. Today the company employs 29 st
