At One World we love to have a wide range of great music and entertainment in the evenings. We try to cover many different genres, so that there is something for everyone.
Here are some of the great acts we've been blessed with over the passed years...
Three pronged freak folk outfit Mamatung bring a sprinkling of scouse ceremony with a journey to the centre of the heart. A set entwined with spirited melodies, chants, serendipitous harmonies and a magical mixture of musical instruments. 'Mamatung. . . are like something you'd stumble upon in an empty field. Like witches singing sweet songs of earth and the wild. 'New ancient sounds''
Together for over 5 years, Dr Bluegrass bring their foot stompin’ thigh slappin’ bluegrass all the way across the south coast of England for a special gig at the 21st birthday One World Festival. Apart from touring the whole of the UK playing sets at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Boom Town, Eden, Small World, Sunrise and many more, Dr Bluegrass has also branched out to Europe playing in many different countries over their five year career. In 2015 Dr Bluegrass explored their bluegrass roots with a tour of the east coast and the deep south of America in the heart of bluegrass country.Although Bluegrass is usually a traditional style of music, Dr Bluegrass are far from generic with covers from all over the music spectrum such as Dire Straits, Gnarls Barkley, AC/DC, Joni Mitchell, Guns ’n’ Roses, Dr Dre, Queen, Bob Dylan, and many many more. So you can be sure of a good knees up and jig with everyone in 2016 :-)
